Types
of Webcam
There are two types of webcams.
Network cams with built in servers; that operate
indepent of a computer; and PC cameras that require
a computer to operate.
Most PC cameras now-a-days connect to the computer
via USB (see below), and a Network cam (also know
as an IP camera) connects directly to your home
or office network in much the same way your telephone
connects to your landline (see Network Cable below).

USB Cameras for the
PC
PC cameras can be further divided into two groups:
Regular Webcams and Pan Tilt Webcams.
Regular Webcams usually describes
a webcam that has no movement. Our EyeSpyFX
Webcam and EyeSpyFX
Pro-Server softwares are designed to suit any
regular USB web camera - for example cameras from
manufacturers such as Logitech, Creative Labs, Trust,
Phillips, Startech and many others.
Pan Tilt Webcams are webcams that
feature mechanical pan and tilt. Regular webcams
can tend to have just one point of view, meaning
it is hard to get a real sense of the space or any
activity in the scene. However the ability to remotely
move the camera provides a sense of being
there that greatly enhances the experience.
EyeSpyFX Webcam and
EyeSpyFX Pro-Server offer remote control of
