The Camera List

What is the Camera List?

The Camera List is a list of the cameras that you have currently added to the app.

Each camera has got a preview thumbnail.

Tapping a camera will open the live broadcast for the camera.

How do I use it?

Tap on a camera to open the camera in live view.

Long press on a camera to reveal the edit camera options:

- Edit Details(change camera details, for example IP Address).

- Delete Camera(remove camera from your camera list).

- Finish(return back to viewing the camera list).

What do the icons means?

- Add Camera(Add a camera to your camera list).

- A pan/tilt Cam(can be moved using the app).

- Save Snapshot(save a snapshot of the camera view to your device).

- Save Details(save any changes you make to the camera details).

- Edit Details(change camera details, for example IP Address).

- Delete Camera(remove camera from your camera list).

- Finish(return back to viewing the camera list).

- Switch Cam(quickly switch between all of your added cameras).

- Light(Activate or De-Activate the light built into the camera).

Add Camera

How do I add a camera?

You can add a camera by pressing this icon from the Camera List screen:

- Add Camera(Add a camera to your camera list).

To add a camera to the app you need an IP address/domain name and a port(The default port is 80). Some cameras may also require a Username/Password.

You can also save the camera details and test the connection by tapping this icon:

- Save Details(save any changes you make to the camera details).

Additional options are also available:

The Camera View

What is the Camera View?

Once you tap on a camera from your camera list you will gain access to the camera.

The camera view contains all of the different components of a camera broadcast & allows you to interact with the camera remotely.

As well as allow you to move the camera(if it is a pan/tilt camera), you can also save snapshots of the stream to your device.

Moving the Camera

Some cameras can be moved. If a camera can be moved you will see the icon.

Swiping your finger left, right, up & down will move the camera in that direction.(Some slower cameras will need a few seconds for the movements to show up on the stream).

You can also zoom the camera in/out. To do this you long press on the screen during the stream and a dialog box will appear prompting you to zoom in/out.

If you have an Axis Camera you can make use of the PTZ Presets feature. This feature allows you to move the camera to various preset positions by choosing it from the drop down list that is automatically created.

Saving Snapshots

You can save a snapshot of the stream by tapping the icon.
The image will be saved to a D-Link Cams folder in your Gallery.

Switching Cameras

You can easily switch between your cameras directly from the camera view by pressing the icon.

You can also switch between the cameras by pressing the List menu button that is built into the Android device.

Adjusting the camera settings

Whilst viewing the live view of your camera you can adjust the image appearance settings by tapping the settings icon icon.

This will allow you to change the image appearance settings on the actual camera itself. It will allow you to change things like: Brightness, Contrast, Colour level and many more.
